Has anyone with approval from 08/01 received welcome letter or card? My husband's I485 was approved on 08/04 but no letter or card yet. Also, mine and my son's cases are still pending, opened SR and will take infopass next week.

My PD is 1 March,2004 and my realistic estimate for getting my GC is end of 2009.

It is a hard fact but I guess I do not want to scare anyone. If you notice some people have got their JuLY 2ND filed cases receipt # and most of them have a Notice date of 08/04/2007 (the guys who got their receipt #). This notice date is the day the Receipt was generated. So today is 08/13/2007. It seems that USCIS is delaying this process of issuing receipts as that will give them a chance to reject applications after 17th. So I guess we should brace ourselves for rejection notices also......
Keep your chin up, guys. You have to understand that there must have been a large number of applications arriving in the USCIS basket. Things will take time - so will the receipts. Do not lose hope.
Why worry about things for which you have no control on? You certainly can control your actions. Maybe contribute to IV in money, time etc PLUS also show up at the rally and sign up a bunch of your friends. Action is the only solution to Worry. :)

I am not anti at all. I am trying to understand the law.
How does a (I485) spouse doesnt have EAD and AP on hand (even if not using it and in H4/L2 etc)?
Wont they have problem when the dates become current and GC is issued to primary.
Lets say I have PD of Aug 2007 and If govt makes me to file under EB and my wife under FB. When date becomes current in EB ( which has higer probability ) I will be able to file but my wife will not.
Now questions will be what will be her status ? If I switch to EAD ? second if govt give them a legal status but they have to wait for 3-4 years to date become current and file for 485.

Dear all,
I was wondering if any one on this forum has filed his/her AOS with NSC and their case will be transferred to TSC (due to I140 approved from TSC) and has got the filing receipts yet?
My application (based on lawyer's email) should have reached NSC on July 2nd, but haven't got the checks cashed yet or got the receipts yet...
I was wondering that my case will most likely be transferred to TSC from NSC. I am thinking lot of guys are in same situation as me, but have you guys received any receipt yet?

I am not entitled more or less, IV can close shop today, I did not come to the USA because there was EB1/2/3 or IV fighting my battles, enjoy your journey. There is very simple reason for this, during 1999-2002 H1B cap was raised to 190,000 even if you make a guess on the lower side more than 50% of these H1Bs went to Indians, so atleast 200,000 Indians entered US between 1999 when these people filed their Green Cards most of them filed under EB-3, b'cause retrogression wasn't there and everthing was current, lot of people, who were in the states where labor took less time, kept getting their green cards, in the meantime a huge chunk of people from states like NJ, NY, TX, CA got stuck at the labor stage with PD in 2000 and up. So basically lot of 2002 & above got cleared but these people with older PDs were stuck. Now when these Labors are cleared, with just 3300 Green Card numbers every year, it'll take 20 years or more for EB-3 cut-off dates to move to 2009.

If so, even then there must be quite a big line. Why were things current at any point. Were they just processing very fast without any attention to quota formula and then they woke up?

The morons taking the high moral ground need to make a reality check. let me state that i came here on F1 did my master's and got a job. so i'm not one of those sleazy guys who bent the rules according to these morons.
there is no one ready to give u a job if u dont have a GC or a EAD or OPT or u go through a consultant. These guys should know that first. Everyone does apply through a body shopper which is not right.. but is there a way out...

At one end it is bad that USCIS moved back Nebraska Processing date to June 08 2007 (More than one month backword) but it looks like USCIS is preparing itself to kick EB3-India ahead... It is too early to say this confidently.. But my feeling is that USCIS will keep processing dates tied to June 2007 and will kick EB3-India ahead. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Though as per murthy's web site in May bulletin EB3-India dates will remain same, I am feeling that if my guess is correct then at least from June bulletin we will see 2 patterns 1) Nebraka processing date would not move ahead for some months or will
